So the long awaited/dreaded move is finally going to take place this Saturday. Yes, we are moving into the new house and I am dreading having to pack up this house! The last few times we've moved the company moved us, so there wasn't a whole lot of packing to do! I got spoiled. Now we have to rely on the Elder's Quorum, and hope that not just old High Priests show up! :)
So in the hustle and bustle of packing and loading the car to take stuff over, yesterday I backed out of the garage . . . . and the back door of my Yukon was still open and up. Hmm.... that was not a good sound. What did I do? Thank heaven the door is perfectly intact. However, I can't say as much for the frame of the garage door. It seems to have been pulled away from the house and will need a little repair. Ugh.
Then, today I was cruising down the road at my normal speed of too fast, and a friendly police lady decided to remind me why there are speed limits by giving me a $170 ticket for doing 60 in a 45! Why 45 in wide open space I will never know. Oh well. I had all 4 kids with me. Savannah in the back asked how much it will cost, and I said probably around $200. She said, "Oh great, now we're going to be poor and we can't afford our new house!" Oh Savannah - if you only knew!
